A fun and valuable practice is to have a "big-to-you" question to pose at a lunch, dinner or networking opportunity. If the group is larger than two the discussion can go on for sometime and help you see lots of new perspectives. Mary posed a question last evening at dinner about the long term implications of innovating by using external collaborators, including on-line "experts", to corporate R & D, to the educational systems, to which career paths get "more" valued etc!.
